FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Opening day is still a long way off, but that didn’t keep fans of the Fort Wayne TinCaps from taking advantage of the first day to buy single game tickets for the 2016 season. There was also the incentive of a free breakfast. The free food was available form 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the Suite Level Lounge at Parkview Field.
For those who couldn’t make it for breakfast fare, tickets can be purchased online at TinCapsTickets.com or by calling 260-482-6400. After 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, tickets – which start at just $5.00 – also will be available at Parkview Field in The Orchard Team Store. (Season tickets and tickets for group outings are already on sale.)
The Promotional Schedule for the 2016 season features 30-plus fireworks nights, 20-plus theme nights, and 10-plus performances from national entertainment acts.
The 2016 season at Parkview Field begins on Saturday, April 9 (6:05 p.m.) when the TinCaps host the Lake County Captains (Cleveland Indians). Coming off a Midwest League Eastern Division title and a seventh consecutive playoff appearance, the TinCaps will be managed by former Fort Wayne Wizards infielder Anthony Contreras this season. The squad’s roster won’t be determined by the San Diego Padres until April, but is expected to feature many of the organization’s top young prospects.
