FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Homestead’s Jackie Brenn made history at the girls swim and dive state championship on Saturday. The ninth grader became the first ever girl diver to win a state title for Homestead. She is also the first freshman to win a diving state championship in Indiana.
Sophomore Kayla Luarde came in 6th place in the diving championship.
The Homestead swim team also competed at the state championship finishing in 7th place overall. The 200m relay team finished in 8th place in the championship.
