Power restored to thousands in southwest Allen County

More than 2,400 Northeaster REMC customers were without power

ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) Power has been restored to thousands of Northeastern REMC customers who awoke Saturday without power.

Power was out for more than an hour in the southwest part of Allen County after a substation in Coventry had problems, according to a representative at the utility company.

At one point, Northeastern REMC’s outage map showed more than 2400 customers are without power. Crews were able to restore power around 9:15 a.m.
