WOODBURN, Ind. (WANE) – Mitchell VanBrocklin, Woodlan’s all-time leader in career rushing yards and touchdowns, will be heading to Marian University to continue his football career after signing with the Knights on Thursday.
VanBrocklin racked up 3,728 yards rushing and 48 total touchdowns for the Warriors with 1,896 of those yards coming this past fall on the way to being named a 2A All-State selection.
He was selected to the 2015 WANE-TV “Fab 15” by area coaches as one of the top 15 players in northeast Indiana.
VanBrocklin was also a standout defensive lineman for the Warriors and was named an IFCA Top 50 selection on defense. He tallied 40 solo tackles as a senior.
He helped Woodlan win its first regional since 1988, an ACAC title, and a 13-1 record.
VanBrocklin also excels in the classroom where he is ranked no. 1 in his class at Woodlan.
