NEW HAVEN, Ind. (WANE) – Hard-hitting safety Trey Jackson is taking his talents to the capital city as the New Haven senior signed with the University of Indianapolis on Wednesday afternoon while speedy receiver Tyon Woods inked with Davenport University.
Jackson was an first-team All-Northeast 8 selection as both a defensive back and return man in 2015.
He tallied 32 tackles, five TFLs, one sack, and two interceptions – one of which he returned for a touchdown.
Jackson also took back two punts for scores and had a kickoff return for a TD.
Offensively, he tallied three receiving touchdowns and one rushing touchdown.
Woods was dangerous on offense and special teams as a senior. He racked up 56 receptions for 982 yards and 11 touchdowns. He also returned two punts for a score.
Woods was selected by area coaches to the 2015 “Fab 15’s Next 15” as one of the top 30 players in northeast Indiana.
