FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) A house fire led to the closure of a portion of Clinton Street north of downtown as crews extinguish the blaze.
Fort Wayne firefighters were called just before 10 a.m. to a home at 2531 N. Clinton St., near Spy Run Avenue, on a report of a fire. Flames appeared to rise from a chimney.
Three adults and a child were able to escape the fire without injuries.
Fire crews had the fire under control in 12 minutes, according to a report.
The home was left with moderate fire damage and minor smoke and water damage, the report said. Investigators determined the cause of the fire was accidental.
Clinton Street was closed in the area while firefighters worked to put out the blaze.
