Carroll tops Dwenger, now alone in first place

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Carroll and Bishop Dwenger went into Wednesday night tied atop the Fort Wayne High School Hockey Association standings. They did not leave Parkview Sport One Icehouse that way, however, as the Chargers earned a resounding 5-1 victory to take sole possession of the league’s top spot.

Spencer Sandberg’s hat trick led the way for the Chargers, while Adam Stoody and Trevor Houlihan also found the net.

Joshua Kucharski scored Dwenger’s lone goal.

Carroll is now 13-3 on the season for 26 points. Dwenger and Leo are tied for second place with 24 points and matching 12-4 records.
