INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The winter storm blanketing the East Coast in snow is impacting at least one group from central Indiana.

Cathedral High School students returning from the March for Life rally in Washington, D.C., are stranded on the highway.

The blizzard brought traffic to a halt along many roads in the East Coast region.

Cathedral High School posted on Facebook that the group is doing fine and has plenty of food and water to wait out the storm.

The post said a priest returning from the event with another group got out and made an alter of snow.

Around 500 people gathered at the altar to celebrate Mass on the side of the road, the school said.
