FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Concordia took home their first ever outright SAC wrestling title on Saturday.
The Cadets took first place in the team duals in December and finished second in Saturday’s individual tournament at Snider with 209 points. Bishop Dwenger took home first place with a final score of 219. Snider rounded out the top three with a score of 194.5.
Bellmont took home the first ever Northeast 8 wrestling conference title at East Noble High School. Bellmont finished with 239 points. This is the Braves’ 39th conference championship. Leo finished in second place with 203.5 points. Host school East Noble came in third place with 160.5 points.
Adams Central won their second straight ACAC wrestling championship on Saturday. The Flying Jets finished with 255.5 points. Jay County finished in second place with 246 points.
Prairie Heights captured the NECC conference title. The Panthers are ranked 10th in the state. They had 10 wrestlers finished in the top three individually.
