Allen County SPCA has historic achievement

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – According to the Allen County SPCA‘s Facebook page, the group doesn’t have any dogs available for adoption.

The note says they don’t have any dogs, “likely for the first time ever.” It still has several dozen cats available for adoption.

The ACSPCA says it will have more dogs available for adoption later this week.

ANNOUNCEMENT! Likely for the first time ever, the Allen County SPCAhas adopted-out every single available dog! Thank you to our adopters and supporters for making this possible!
No worries, though; we promise to refill the kennels with more amazing, adoptable canines who need our help this week. In the meantime, let’s celebrate this accomplishment together! YOU did it!

The organization is located at the corner of Hanna Street and East Pettit Avenue on the southeast side of Fort Wayne.

The ACSPCA held an adoption event at a local pet store Saturday.

Last year, Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control sold out of cats and dogs due to special pricing for Black Friday.
