IPFW’s leading scorer Mo Evans out for season due to academic issue

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – IPFW’s leading scorer Mo Evans will miss the remainder of the season due an academic issue.

Evans, and junior from Indianapolis, was putting up 16.9 points a game to go with a team-best 5.1 assists per night.

“Though Mo is on track to graduate on time, he did not meet an academic requirement.” IPFW head coach Jon Coffman said in a statement released by IPFW.  “As a result, he will not be traveling nor participating in competition during the spring semester to focus on academics.”

Evans was recently named the Summit League Male Athlete of the Month for December.

He did not play in IPFW’s 92-76 loss at South Dakota State on Thursday night.
