Nagle stays hot as Komets win in Cincinnati

CINCINNATI – Pat Nagle won for the fifth time in his last six starts as the Komets defeated the Cyclones 4-1 in Cincinnati on Wednesday night.

Nagle stopped 30 of 31 shots in goal for Fort Wayne.

Trailing 1-0 in the second period the Garrett Thompson, Shawn Szydlowski, and Mike Embach each found the net to give the Komets a 3-1 lead heading into the third frame.

Joe Perry scored his 10th goal of the season – his sixth with the Komets – in the third period to set the final at 4-1.

The Komets play three games at War Memorial Coliseum this weekend starting with Orlando on Friday night at 8 p.m.
