ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) The winter weather travel advisory put into place as snow and temperatures fell this week has been lifted.
The Allen County Office of Homeland Security lifted the travel advisory for unincorporated Allen County early Wednesday.
The office issued the advisory on Tuesday due to numerous accidents and slideoffs that were occurring on county highways. Routine travel and activities were restricted in areas because of a hazardous situation, urging individuals to use caution or avoid those areas.
On Wednesday, the office said county highway crews worked “diligently” over the past 48 hours to clear and treat rural roads.
Still, the office reminded motorists that blowing snow and ice should be expected throughout the winter months.
