Mad Ants add Hyman to roster

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Fort Wayne Mad Ants, presented by Lutheran Health Network, announced today that they have acquired Travis Hyman.

Hyman, the 6-10 center who previously came over to the Mad Ants from the Los Angeles D-Fenders through a trade during the 2014-15 season, averaged 3.29 ppg and 4.61 rpg during his 31 games with Fort Wayne last season. In his return to the Mad Ants, Hyman will be listed as active for the team’s upcoming matchup at Erie on Wednesday, January 13th. The Mad Ants (11-9) are set to tip with the BayHawks (7-11) at 7:00 p.m. ET.

According to Mad Ants beat writer Reggie Hayes of WANE’s news-gathering partner The News-Sentinel, Shayne Whittington will miss Wednesday’s game at Erie. Rakeem Christmas – who has a broken nose – will play Wednesday but wear a mask.
