Police seized 125 grams of controlled substance, approximately 7 pounds of marijuana, 4 handguns, 1 rifle, and approximately $20,000 cash in a raid Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016.

WABASH, Ind. (WANE) Police wrapped up a month-long investigation Wednesday with the arrests of two Wabash residents after a raid turned up a stash of drugs, five guns and some $20,000 in cash.

Wabash Police said Wednesday officers served a search warrant at a home in the 400 block of West Market Street in the city. There, officers found 125 grams of controlled substance, some seven pounds of marijuana, four handguns – one of them stolen, a rifle and about $20,000 cash, the department said.

Armed with that evidence, Robert L. Persley, 58, and Brenda K. Buckley, 42, both of Wabash, were arrested on narcotics and gun-related charges, the department said. They are being held at the Wabash County Jail on a 72-hour hold.

Police said the arrests and seizures completed a month-long investigation between Wabash Police and the Wabash Drug Task Force.
