Carroll’s Hill, Unger sign for soccer

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – A pair of Carroll high school soccer standouts signed to play in college on Thursday.

Jacob Hill signed with Purdue University-Calumet. Carroll’s starting center defender, Hill scored two goals this past year for the 13-5-2 Chargers. A two-year varsity letterman, Hill graduates with four goals scored in his prep career. He was voted as a team co-MVP, the All-District 2 Team by the Indiana Soccer Coaches Association, and the all-area team by the FW News-Sentinel.

Luke Unger will play for Huntington University and coach Russ Lawson. As a senior he led the Chargers with 12 assists and also scored nine goals. A three-year varsity letterman, Unger graduates with a total of 14 goals scored and 16 assists. He was voted as a team co-MVP, the All-District 2 Team by the Indiana Soccer Coaches Association, and the all-area team by the FW News-Sentinel.
