Notre Dame sends Redfield home from Fiesta Bowl

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (WANE) – Notre Dame has sent safety Max Redfield home for a violation of team rules, meaning the junior will not play in the Fiesta Bowl on Friday, January 1.

Redfield was third on the team with 64 tackles.

Notre Dame – already short-handed in the defensive backfield – will also be without cornerback Devin Butler against Ohio State. Butler brook the fifth metatarsal in his left foot at practice on Monday.
