Colts Sign Quarterback Ryan Lindley

The Indianapolis Colts today signed free agent quarterback Ryan Lindley.

The move comes after the Colts inked free agent quarterback Josh Freeman earlier in the day.

Lindley, 6-3, 232 pounds, most recently spent time with the New England Patriots during 2015 training camp. He was signed by the Patriots on August 10, 2015 and waived on September 4. Lindley has seen action in nine career NFL games (six starts) and completed 134-of-264 passes for 1,314 yards with two touchdowns and 11 interceptions. In 2014, Lindley spent the first 10 weeks of the season on the San Diego Chargers practice squad. He was signed to the Arizona Cardinals 53-man roster off of the Chargers practice squad on November 11, 2014. Lindley played in three games (two starts) for the Cardinals in 2014 and completed 45-of-93 passes for 562 yards with two touchdowns and four interceptions. He also started one postseason contest for the Cardinals and connected on 16-of-28 passes for 82 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. As a rookie in 2012, Lindley appeared in six games (four starts) and completed 89-of-171 passes for 752 yards and seven interceptions. He was originally drafted by the Cardinals in the sixth round (185th overall) of the 2012 NFL Draft.
