Taking advantage of the “warm” season greetings

Blake Patterson takes advantage of the nice weather Friday to do some yard work.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Unseasonably warm weather Friday is getting families out the door to enjoy what might be one of the last nice days of the year.

Several families were out at Buckner Park Friday afternoon getting in what might be one of the last nice days of the year. While some played, others caught up on yard work, but they said raking leaves is better than shoveling snow.

“Compared to the last couple of winters we’ve had it’s been really nice. We could use a little bit of snow around Christmas time would be okay, but I’m happy with the weather,” Blake Patterson said as he was doing yard work Friday.

The warm weather is expected to last through the weekend.
