Police investigate armed robbery at Subway

Police respond to a Subway in Fort Wayne after a reported armed robbery.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) The Fort Wayne Police Department is investigating an armed robbery at a Subway restaurant Sunday.

According to police dispatch, officers were called around 9:58 to 5753 St. Joe Road, in the Marketplace of Canterbury.

FWPD Spokesperson John Chambers said a man, approximately 5-feet 6-inches tall, entered the Subway wearing a red hoodie and black pants. Armed with a gun, he demanded cash and left the business with an undisclosed amount of money.

He left and went towards St. Joe Road.

A K9 attempted to track him down. However, at this time no arrests have been made.
