Howe gas station robbed, thousands of dollars stolen

HOWE, Ind. (WANE) – The Phillips 66 gas station in Howe was robbed at gunpoint Tuesday night, according to information from the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department.

Police responded to the gas station, 5450 North State Road 9, around 11 p.m. for a reported armed robbery.

According to a department report, a man with a handgun got away with $2,000 from the gas station and $5 from a customer inside the store at the time of the robbery.

Investigators said the suspect was seen wearing a gray-hooded sweatshirt, light-colored sweatpants, black gloves, a white face mask and running shoes.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department.

The incident is under investigation.
