11/25 High School Basketball Recap

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE)  – Homestead’s quest to defend their 4A state title began with a win on Wednesday . The Spartans took down Huntington North 65-56 at the newly dedicated Bob Straight court.

Jack Ferguson led Homestead with 27 points. Tahj Curry followed with 17 points.

Homestead is back in action Friday December 4th when they travel to Warsaw. Huntington North plays at Mississinewa on Saturday.

Northrop also began their season with a win defeating DeKalb 79-67.

Jagger Surface led with 23 points. Also hitting double digits was Richard Robertson who scored 18 points.

Northrop travels to New Haven on December 1st. DeKalb hosts Eastside on Saturday.

Concordia Lutheran also won their first game on home court with a 67-59 victory over Norwell.
