Warrant leads to arrest, discovery of 198 pot plants

ANTWERP, Ohio (WANE) Police officers served a search warrant Monday at a rental house in Antwerp, Ohio where they found 198 marijuana plants, items commonly used to grow pot, guns and cash.

Five people were in the home, located at 303 West Canal Street, at the time of the time and police arrested the man renting the place. Timothy B. Edwards, 56, faces a charge of knowingly cultivating marijuana. Other charges are pending as authorities wait for the results of lab tests from the Bureau of Criminal Investigations in Bowling Green.

The Antwerp Police Department, the West Central Ohio Crime Task Force and the Paulding County Sheriff’s Department all took part in the investigation.
