Larry Bird Looks On As Mad Ants Complete Opening Weekend Sweep

FORT WAYNE, IN (November 15, 2015) – The Mad Ants, sponsored by Lutheran Health Network, improved their 2015-16 regular season record to a perfect 2-0 after completing a weekend sweep of the Raptors 905 with a dominant 112-92 Sunday victory at Allen Co. War Memorial Coliseum.

In the first half, the Mad Ants found themselves ahead early, by as much as 14 by the end of the first quarter, with first year Mad Ant, Terran Petteway leading the way with 10 points. The lead grew as halftime approached, with the Mad Ants heading into the locker room up 63-40. Petteway, again, led all scorers with 12 points and Indiana Pacer assignee, Rakeem Christmas, followed with 11.

The Mad Ants seized their large early advantage and never looked back, never surrendering their large lead, which grew to as much as 30. Petteway ended his night leading the way for the Mad Ants with 22 points and 6 rebounds. Fort Wayne’s second round draft pick in the 2015 NBA D-League Draft (first pick overall), Walter Lemon Jr., recorded 16 points off the bench, adding 4 assists. Christmas rounded out top scoring performances for the Mad Ants with 19 of his own.

For the Raptors 905, Bruno Caboclo led all scorers with 25 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Nick Suggs followed Caboclo with 18.

The Mad Ants continue their extended home slate next Saturday, November 21st as they play host to the Delaware 87ers for a 7:30 p.m. match-up.
