Body found in car ID’d, death ruled homicide

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The Allen County Coroner’s Office has identified a man who was found dead inside a car early Wednesday morning.

Jose G. Razo-Rodriquez, 18, was discovered at 12:30 a.m. in the driver’s seat in the 300 block of Kinnaird Avenue. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.

Police said a neighbor initially called 911 about the vehicle, but investigators believe it was sitting in the alley for several hours. People who live in the area told investigators they didn’t hear any gunshots or a disturbance.

Razo-Rodriquez died of gunshot wounds, according the Coroner’s Office. His manner of death was determined to be a homicide. His death is the 28th homicide in Allen County.

The shooting is still under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, Allen County Coroner’s Office, and the Allen County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
