Construction to cause traffic shift on U.S. 24

ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) Traffic will shift east on U.S. 24 starting Wednesday, Nov. 4 while crews complete work on a small structure, according to the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT).

Contractors will use crossovers to switch traffic to the eastbound lanes of the highway, with one lane open in each direction between Amber and Homestead roads.

INDOT is replacing a small structure over Zentsmaster Drain, at the intersection of U.S. 24 and Redding Drive. Once the structure is replaced, the left lane of U.S. 24 will be restricted in both directions to remove the crossovers.

The project is expected to be complete by late November.
