Lewis Defends Dunk Title At “Cougar Madness”

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Wayne High School graduate Kendan Lewis defended his dunk title at “Cougar Madness” on Tuesday night at the Hutzell Athletic Center, unofficially kicking off the St. Francis basketball season.

Lewis, who will be a junior at St. Francis, won this year’s competition by leaping over teammate Seth Small for the slam.

The USF men are ranked fourth in the 2015-16 preseason NAIA national poll. They open the season this Friday at at tournament in Cincinnati against Madonna University.

The USF women will begin the season ranked 20th in head coach Jason Ridge’s first season. They open the season November 6 against Aquinas College.
