FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Crews will move to the northern part of Fort Wayne beginning Thursday, October 29, 2012, at 7 a.m. Several neighborhoods in the northern part of the city have already placed their leaves at the curb and crews will pick those up earlier than anticipated, but all northern neighborhoods will be revisited beginning Monday, as originally scheduled.
Crews are ahead of schedule, with only a few south side neighborhoods to be completed Wednesday afternoon.
Fort Wayne’s leaf pick-up schedule goes through each neighborhood twice during a seven-week period. Residents can track progress online at http://www.cityoffortwayne.org/leaves. The page is updated each afternoon and pinpoints not only the section of town crews are working, but the exact neighborhoods. Additionally, residents can call the leaf pick-up hotline at 427-2302 to get daily updates.
