Swanigan Not Yet Cleared To Play By NCAA

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WANE) – Purdue freshman Caleb Swanigan has yet to be cleared by the NCAA to play according to a story by Bleacher Report’s Jason King on Monday.

In the story King reports Purdue head coach Matt Painter responded to the news, saying “We’re still working through the process.”

A McDonald’s All-American as a senior at Homestead High School, Swanigan is reportedly being investigated for his relationship with Fort Wayne’s Roosevelt Barnes. Barnes, a former standout athlete at Purdue, adopted Swanigan before his freshman year of high school.
