JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) – Two people are in jail after police in Tennessee say they smashed another driver’s windows with pumpkins following a road rage incident.

Donnie Roggan, 25, and Azure Gouge, 26, were arrested Saturday after Johnson City officers responded to a Walmart after two people said another car tried to run them off the road. The alleged victims said Roggan and Gouge followed them into the Walmart parking lot where Roggan tried to get into the vehicle.

“Mr. Roggan picked up two pumpkins and busted out the passenger window of the victim’s vehicle,” a JCPD news release said. “Then, Mr. Roggan punched the male. Ms. Gouge and Mr. Roggan drove away.”

Police said they later found the suspects’ car and arrested Gouge after she failed standardized field sobriety tests. Officers report Roggan was intoxicated as well.

Roggan is charged with burglary of motor vehicle, shoplifting, vandalism and public intoxication. Azure is charged with driving under the influence, felony reckless endangerment and resisting arrest, police said.
