Notre Dame and Packers Legend Paul Hornung Visits Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Super Bowl champion and Heisman trophy winner, Paul Hornung paid a visit to Fort Wayne on Saturday. The Notre Dame and Packers legend met with fans and signed autographs at PlayBall Ink in the Glenbrook Mall.

Hornung played half-back and safety for Notre Dame during the 1950’s, winning the Heisman in 1956. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1985. Hornung went on to have a Hall of Fame career in the NFL with the Green Bay Packers. In Green Bay he won the first ever Super Bowl with the Packers. He was the league’s MVP in 1961 and was a two time Pro Bowl selection. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1986.

Hornung now resides in Louisville, Kentucky, He says he still makes trips to South Bend and Green Bay to watch his former teams play.
