The commissioners will meet at 6 p.m. in the LaGrange County Courthouse Annex to discuss a petition drive launched by LaGrange County resident Chad Fry after he grew tired of driving his vehicles through manure, our partners in news KPC News reported.

The commissioners will consider a solution that would require horses to be fitted with devices to catch manure before it falls to the ground, KPC reported.

Fry presented that proposal to the commissioners two weeks ago, and since, the commissioners have received hundreds of emails, phone calls and text messages about it, KPC reported. The local Amish community has shown up at meetings in droves to object to the idea.

The commissioners expect a large crowd at its Wednesday night meeting, KPC reported.
