Auto theft leads to vacant house at fairgrounds, 4 arrested

KENDALLVILLE, Ind. (WANE) Four people were arrested after a vehicle theft led police to a vacant home in the Noble County Fairgrounds on Wednesday.

Around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Kendallville police began investigating a theft of a blue 2012 Nissan Sentra in the city.

Throughout the day and into the night, police said they followed several tips. Eventually, around 11:30 p.m., police pulled over and recovered the Nissan in the 200 block of South Park Avenue in Kendallville.

From there, police said they were then led to a vacant house inside the Noble County Fairgrounds in the city. There, officers found and arrested four people: Logan M. Lewis, 28, of Kendallville; Brady M. Hagerman, 19, of Garrett; Alexis J. Jordan, 23, of Kendallville; and Billy Park, 22.

It’s not clear which suspects were arrested on which charges, but police said two faces charges related to the stolen vehicle and two faces charges of criminal trespassing.
