FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) The genius behind the hit CBS television show “Scorpion” will speak at IPFW next month.
Walter O’Brien, the president and CEO of Scorpion Computer Services whose real-life exploits are dramatized in primetime television, will serve as keynote speaker at a luncheon co-hosted by the Northeast Indiana Defense Industry Association and the Fort Wayne Base Community Council on Oct. 15 at IPFW.
O’Brien will present “Scorpion Unleashed: Protecting America from Cyber Attack” at the luncheon, officials said.
A child prodigy who hacked NASA’s computer system at 13 years old, O’Brien today works to mitigate risk on $1.9 trillion of investments, developing artificial intelligence engines to protect U.S. war fighters in Afghanistan, and working with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security along with U.S. Navy and Air Force systems to protect American military personnel. He also serves as executive producer of the “Scorpion” television show that is based on his life.
The luncheon will be held in the IPFW Walb Student Union’s International Ballroom from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., as part of the all-day Northeast Indiana Defense Industry Association Mega Conference.
