Power restored after crash causes outages

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Power has been restored after a crash caused outages for traffic signals and thousands of customers near downtown Fort Wayne mid-afternoon Friday.

Some 3,250 customers lost power sometime around 2 p.m. Friday. Traffic signals along State Boulevard, Wells Street and Goshen Road were also black.

According to the city’s traffic engineering department, the outages have been tied to a traffic crash at Putnam and Wells streets, where a car struck a pole.
