Kosciusko County hires new sheriff’s deputy

WARSAW, Ind. (WANE) The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department has added a new deputy.

Matthew Holderman has been added to Sheriff Aaron Rovenstine’s force as a Deputy Sheriff. He has been assigned to the road patrol division.

A native of Kosciusko County, Holderman is a 2008 graduate of Warsaw Community High School and a 2010 graduate of Vincennes University, where he received an Associates of Science degree in Law Enforcement.

He began his law enforcement career as a confinement officer at the Kosciusko County Work Release Center in 2010, before moving to the Jail Division in 2011.

Holderman is a third generation officer with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department, following his father Larry, and grandfather Stan Holderman.

Rovenstine said Holderman was selected from a large group of excellent candidates and will be a great asset to the department as well as the citizens of Kosciusko County.
