FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Motorists on the Interstate 469 Sunday morning said they were stalled for more than 30 minutes while officers responded to multiple crashes. The two crashes prompted the closure of traffic in both directions. However, before noon, both north and southbound lanes were back open.
Southbound traffic was first stalled around 10 a.m. on I-469, near mile marker 9 at the Winchester exit, according to reports from motorists.

Less than an hour later, around 10:45 a.m., the second crash happened, according to Fort Wayne Police dispatch. Multiple vehicles collided on southbound I-469 at the 11 mile marker. According to an Allen County Sheriff’s deputy at the scene, the two separate crashes involved a total of four vehicles. There were minor injuries.
