FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Parkview Health and the Parkview Comprehensive Cancer Center will offer free health screenings at Parkview Field Tuesday afternoon.
Men and women are encouraged to attend the free event Tuesday from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Men can receive a free prostate cancer screening and ask questions. Technicians will draw blood for a PSA test. Medical experts suggest men over the age of 55 with no family history should begin getting their PSA test to monitor their scores and be aware of any changes that may indicate additional testing.
Other benefits for those who attend, include:
- blood pressure screening
- osteoporosis screening
- blood sugar check
- skin cancer screening
- height, weight and BMI measurements
Parkview will also have several representatives on hand to answer questions. Those include physicians and workers from Parkview Seniors Club, Medication Assistance Program, Parkview Lab, Urology, American Cancer Society, Parkview Respiratory (with sleep apnea information), Parkview Stanley Wissman Stroke Center (stroke risk), Parkview Colorectal Surgeons, Parkview Cardiology (heart risk), Parkview Cancer Center (screening information).
Tuesday’s health screenings are FREE and open to the public. Participants are not required to have insurance.
