Former Warsaw QB is new “Bachelor”

WINONA LAKE, Ind. (WANE) – Former Highlight Zone standout and ex-Warsaw High School football star Ben Higgins is quarterbacking a new role, as the Winona Lake resident has been tabbed as the next Bachelor on ABC’s hit show. That show debuted tonight on ABC.

Higgins was the starting quarterback for Warsaw during the 2007 season, leading the Tigers to a 7-5 record in coach Troy Akers’ final season. The Tigers topped Northrop and South Side in sectional play that year, but fell to Snider in the sectional title game.

Wearing no. 17 in the included video, Higgins was a fairly mobile QB with a strong arm.

Now a 26 year-old software salesman, Higgins was also on the last version of the Bachelorette. He lists Winona Lake, Indiana as his current residence on Twitter.
