FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Cougars fans filled the stands to watch the Saint Francis football team hold an intersquad scrimmage. And while it may have given fans something to hold them over until the season begins September 5th, Saturday’s scrimmage was a way to mark the end of high school two-a-days.
It was also a way for head coach, Kevin Donley, to evaluate who would win starting jobs. Donley said that right now Nick Ferrer is the main candidate for the starting QB job, but that his official assignments will come out early next week.
St. Francis opens up their season hosting Olivet Nazarene on September 5th.
