INDIANAPOLIS (WISH/WANE) – ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Twitter Monday afternoon that former Colts Wide Receiver Reggie Wayne has reached a deal with the New England Patriots.

ESPN and other media outlets reported Sunday that Wayne arrived in New England for a physical with the Patriots.

The wide receiver played 14 seasons for the Colts before Indianapolis released him earlier this year in March.

Wayne told our sister station in Indianapolis back in July that he still wanted to play football, and now it might be against the Colts biggest rival New England.

The Colts and Patriots face each other this season on Oct. 18 at Lucas Oil Stadium.
