Shop to reopen after 2014 tragedy

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The Smokehouse Tobacco Outlet on Lafayette Street is getting a fresh start after a tragedy shut it down more than a year ago.

Last April, a man tried to rob the store and shot and killed the owner, Antonio Niño. It’s been closed ever since. The new owners work on the store.

Now, the store is under new ownership and changing its name to “Get and Go.” The new owner, Niño’s friend, plans to open up shop on September 10th. He also said he’s keeping the current surveillance cameras and installing more.
