The Warsaw Police Department recently welcomed their newest officer, K-9 Bubka.

WARSAW, Ind. (WANE) The Warsaw Police Department has added a new K-9 to its force.

Bubka, a two-year-old male English Cocker Spaniel, is a single-purpose, or non-biting, narcotic-detection K-9, the department said. He is also capable of tracking.

Bubka was born in the United Kingdom in January 2013 and initially trained in the Netherlands before moving to the United States in late 2014. He recently finished his police-training course in July at Vohne Liche Kennels in Denver, Indiana.

The purchase of the new K-9 was made possible with funds received from a donor, the department said.

Bubka joins K-9 Dax and K-9 Mako as part of the Warsaw Police Department’s K-9 unit.
