INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Officials from Kroger say a test of online ordering at a Carmel store was so successful they are adding the program to additional stores.
Seven Kroger stores in the Indianapolis area will offer online grocery shopping by the end of September.
To grocery shop online at a participating Kroger store, customers would go to the website and build a shopping cart from available items. Customers then select a pick-up time during a one-hour window and a store location, and then place the on-line order.
The Kroger store associate hand-picks order items and stores them in temperature appropriate zones until the customer arrives.
The customer pulls their vehicle up in the designated pick-up lane and a store associate will load the order in their car.
