FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) A roll-over crash on northbound Interstate 69 near the I-469 ramp Tuesday morning sent a man to the hospital and restricted lanes.
The call came in around 8:45 a.m. after a dark-colored sedan and blue small SUV collided. The SUV ended upside-down against the highway median and the sedan crashed with front-end damage.
According to investigators, the driver of the sedan – a woman – rear-ended the SUV driven by a man, which tossed the SUV into the concrete median and flipped it. The man was taken to a hospital in serious condition. The woman was not hurt.
Police said speed was a factor in the crash.
Responders closed at least two of the northbound lanes. Crews were performing power line work in the area which had already restricted lanes on the highway.
