ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) A pickup truck driver was killed Thursday afternoon in a fiery crash on Interstate 69.

According to Allen County Sheriff’s Department spokesperson Steve Stone, around 5:30 p.m. a pickup truck headed north on I-69 around the 317 milemarker went through the median, into oncoming traffic and then clipped the rear axle of a semi tanker, which took the rear axle completely off.

The truck then caught on fire. A fire department responded and was able to put the fire out quickly.
