Two people injured after a car crashes into porch

Two people are in the hospital after the car they were in crashed into a house.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Two people were hospitalized after a car crashed into a home around early Sunday morning.

Police and medics were called around 3:30 a.m. to a home in the 3300 block of South Clinton Street on a report that a car crashed into a porch of a home. The car was severely damaged. Police haven’t reported how damaged the home was but crews were looking at the house.

We do not know the names or gender of the victims. One victim is in critical condition and the other is in serious condition.

There were people inside the home at the time of the crash but none of the residents were hurt.

Investigators collected evidence and processed the crash scene. They reported high speed was a contributing factor in the crash. It is unknown at this time if alcohol or drugs were contributing factors.
