KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Purdue men’s basketball rising senior Jon McKeeman was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court, the organization announced Thursday.

The honor is presented to players who are a junior or senior academically at an institution and posted a GPA of 3.20 or better at the conclusion of the 2014-15 academic year.

McKeeman, a guard from Fort Wayne, Indiana, owns a 3.96 cumulative GPA while majoring in movement and sport sciences. Earlier this summer, McKeeman traveled to Haiti as part of a volunteer trip for Fellowship of Christian Athletes at the Ephraim Orphanage northeast of Mirebalais, Haiti.

On the court, McKeeman appeared in five games this past season, helping the Boilermakers to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2012.

In all, the 2015 NABC Honors Court includes over 1,000 student-athletes from more than 350 colleges and universities.
