City pools and splash pads get ready to close

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) There are only a few weeks left to enjoy the city’s public pools.

Memorial Pool is the first to close, with a season ending date of Sunday, August 2 at 5 p.m. McMillen Pool will close the following Sunday, August 9.

Starting August 10, Northside Pool will reduce its hours until it closes August 16:

  • Monday, August 10: 5 pm – 8 pm
  • Tuesday, August 11: 5 pm – 8 pm
  • Wednesday, August 12: 5 pm – 8 pm
  • Thursday, August 13: 5 pm – 8 pm
  • Friday, August 14: 5 pm – 8 pm
  • Saturday, August 15: 12:30 pm – 5 pm
  • Sunday, August 16: 12:30 pm – 5 pm

The city’s seven splash pads will remain open until Labor Day:

Buckner Park

  • Hours: 9 am – 9 pm

McCormick Park

  • 2300 Raymond & Holly
  • Hours: 9 am – 9 pm

Memorial Park

  • 2301 Maumee & Glasgow
  • Hours: 9 am – 9 pm

Robert E. Meyers Park

  • Inside North Gate of Parkview Field on Jefferson Blvd.
  • Hours: Open to public 9 am – 11 pm on days without scheduled events

Shoaff Park

  • 6401 St. Joe Rd.
  • Hours: 9 am – 9 pm

Kreager Park (Taylor’s Dream)

  • 7225 North River Road
  • Hours: 9 am – 9 pm

Waynedale Park

  • 2900 Koons & Elzey
  • Hours: 9 am – 9 pm
