FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) The Fort Wayne Police Department responded to a report of a suspicious package in the parking lot of the Marketplace of Canterbury, which is where the popular club Piere’s is located.
Officers arrived around 11:20 a.m., along with investigators from the Hazardous Device Unit. FWPD spokesperson Officer John Chambers said they investigated the package and determined there was nothing inside the box suspicious in nature.
An area in front of Piere’s and Peanuts were blocked off while police investigated.
Police cleared the scene just before 1 p.m.
